Siyata Mobile Inc. has won a first responder contract valued at over $1.5-million for multiple push-to-talk-over-cellular (PoC) devices, including accessories.
In addition to the devices sold, the contract also includes three-year recurring software revenue valued at $450,000. The company expects the contract to double in size in 2018.
Marc Seelenfreund, chief executive officer and chairman of Siyata Mobile, commented: “This is a major win for Siyata, which will create strong momentum for both our hardware and software offerings going into 2018. We are becoming a major force in the global push-to-talk-over-cellular market and believe that this is the first of many large-scale opportunities for Siyata in this emerging market.”
Together with the company’s UCP100 and UCP200 Uniden 3G devices, the Uniden portfolio now bears an additional two 4G/LTE cellular devices. The UV350, the world’s first 4G/LTE all-in-one fleet communications device, and the CP250, a connected vehicle tablet/DVR 4G/LTE device built for lighter vehicles.
According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, in 2015, there were over 12 million fleet vehicles in the United States. Siyata aims to be the leading provider of connected vehicle and mobile hardware solutions as these commercial fleets upgrade their communication platforms to be compatible with next-generation networks, PoC solutions and other software applications.
